Introduction 

Qobo is an interactive robot kit designed for learners as young as 3 years old to make their first step into coding. It does not require the use of any mobile devices or coding software to construct a program. Students will be first introduced to Qobo’s magical coding cards, with each card representing a different logic or action. After understanding the function of each card, students will be guided to construct programs for various tasks by connecting the coding cards together in logical sequences. Finally, the students will use Qobo to validate the logic of constructed program by getting Qobo to follow the connected cards. Qobo is a screen-free learning tool for young learners to move away from mobile devices and develop logical thinking skills at an early age.

Program Micro: bit using Qdee

Introduction

Qdee is a comprehensive robot kit for students to learn the full spectrum of S.T.E.A.M. knowledge and build up coding skills from scratch. Students will be introduced to the parts and sensors that make up a functional robot and guided to assemble the robot from scratch by putting the parts and sensors together. Students will be able to understand the functions and the scientific principles of the sensors. By learning the graphical programming language which is used to program the controller of Qdee, students will be able to interact with the sensors and gather information from their surroundings. They will also be introduced to the basic concepts of IoT such as getting readings from sensors remotely.

Introduction

3D printing is a process where a 3D printer creates three-dimensional objects by depositing materials layer by layer in accordance to the object’s 3D digital model. Being able to design and print objects using 3D printer is an essential skill of a S.T.E.A.M. maker. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of 3D printing and its applications in various industries. Students will learn how to design 3D models using Tinkercard Software and will be given the hands-on experience in printing their own design out using a 3D printer. The course will also guide students to construct a simple Micro: bit program, so that they will be able to create a mini electronic gadget by combining the programming and 3D printing skills.

Python & AI

For Sec 1 and above

Introduction:

Python is a powerful programming language and it is becoming more and more popular for building applications in many aspects of trending technology, such as Data Science and Machine Learning.  Students will be introduced to the foundations of object-oriented programming and Python syntax, followed by the in-depth understanding of various programming concepts including data types, variables and functions through lots of hands-on tasks and case practices. This course also integrates the learning with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) robot to facilitate students' understanding of AI, and develop their interest to learn more about AI in future.
